George was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan. In December 1957 he joined the RCAF, spent 4 years in Germany 4 wing and did a lot of traveling across Germany. He returned to Canada in 1966 and in December 1967 while in Cold Lake he joined Transport Canada. He spent one winter in Yellowknife. George finished his career at Edmonton International Airport in 1998. George had an interesting career with the Federal Government.
George will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lyllian; daughter-in-law Jennifer and her children Kiernan and Riane; sister Fay and brother Ed.
George is predeceased by his son Scott, brothers David and Jim and parents George and Edith.
Visitation will be held at Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel, 4802 - 47 Avenue, Leduc on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 7-8 pm.
The Restrictions Exemption Program is being followed, please bring proof of vaccination or negative covid test.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 4416 - 50 Street, Leduc on Friday December 31, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
Memorial donations may be made in George's name to the Cross Cancer Institute or St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Leduc.
