Left to cherish the memory of her kind heart and gentle nature are her children: Gladys (Reuben), Deb (Alan), Lyle (Meredith) and daughter-in-law Janice; her grandchildren: Jason (Dawn), Candace (Codie), Brent (Laura), Ryan (Caitlin), Roxanne (Matt), Nick (Dawn), Blair (Colette), Rae-Lee and Shae-Anne; and great grandchildren: Samantha, Keely, Riley, Hunter, Madison, Erica, Cole, Rennek, Bryer, Gradyn, Brody, Hudson and Aubryn.
Born in Morrowdale, Alberta on October 21, 1932, the talented and passionate gardener, cook and baker will be missed by a host of lifelong friends and relatives she met through church, playing cards, and her involvement in the community.
Jean was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Harold; son James; great grandson Logan; her parents, Nick and Elsie Martinoff; brothers: Harry, Bernard and Eddie; sister Hady and sister-in-law Lenore.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, January 17th, 2025, in St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 5115 48 Avenue, Thorsby.
In lieu of flowers, Donations in Jean's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
