Best friend always in our thoughts, sadly missed.

I’ve never met Kathleen .. yet I knew her.. she was my sisters friend, my sisters safe place , my sisters person for many years, I know Kathleen was there for all of the milestones in my sisters life, I know she shared in her sorrows as well as her joys and although I’ve never met kathleen I can tell you what kind of person she was. She was a loving soul, a nurturer , a bringer of comfort and a strong shoulder when needed, a stalwart companion and the harbinger of joy . In being such a friend to my sister she also touched my life, and her passing has in turn affected people she never met , for I’m left with the feeling of purpose and determination to be a better person , and inspires me to be a better friend .I can only hope and pray that when I leave this world I can leave the same kind of legacy behind , but Kathleen has set the bar very high indeed. 

So sorry for your loss, Wayne, family, and Dorothy. 
I moved to Devon mid 90s and we would receive each others mail often as my middle name was Kathleen, my husband’s first name was Wayne’s middle name, and we shared same last name lol. I remember Kathleen telling me she was from Corner Brook as my family was from Stephenville and was a time closest theatre was Corner Brook. I remember most how very close she and Dorothy, our mutual friend, were. She will truly be missed. 

There are only a few people that we encounter in a lifetime who are truly memorable, Kathleen was certainly one of those people.
A true professional and a great team player to work with.
Always ready to share a joke or to hear of a new wine to try.

I would like to send my deepest condolences to wagne and family for your lost., I knew Kathleen from work at kunys and we become friend..we just move to Alberta from new Brunswick and it was really nice to meet new friends., me and my husband Etienne was very fond of them ., it was always a fun to get together …I talked to her on Facebook in November never said nothing.I just heard it today from a friend.R.I.P. my friend you went to early …you will be missed 😢❤️

My heart goes out to you and your family.  Having retired I didn’t realize Kathleen was ill.
 She was the most professional customer service person I ever 
had the pleasure of working with, plus she had a great sense of humour. My wife would hear me laughing  on the phone and would say “you must have been talking to Kathleen”.   I will always remember the joy she brought to my day when our calls ended.





To Kathy’s Family, especially her Mom & Dad, Ted & Ena Atkinson who are very dear friends of ours. May you find comfort in your memories of your sweet daughter. Stay strong & God Bless you both.  Sending Love from Dar & Eric.  

Me and Joe would like to say how sorry we were to hear about Kathleen's passing. We would like to offer our condolences to Wayne and the family at this difficult time. I worked with her for 15 years, Joe for 20 so we became friends over the years. We shared a lot of laughs and good conversations. I felt like we had a connection because we were both from Nfld. She was a special person who will be sadly missed.
