June 23, 1995 – May 26, 2024
Kirsha gave the world’s best hugs.
While she was known for many things, the ferocity of her hugs cannot be understated. When Kirsha gave you a hug, she hugged you with everything she had.
Kirsha was born in Red Deer Regional Hospital on June 23, 1995. She is survived by her loving Mama and Papa bear, her little brother, and maternal grandparents.
Kirsha spent much of her youth on a soccer pitch; evidence of soccer matches and tournaments are stored in multiple shoe boxes as her mom would never allow her to throw away her medals and awards.
After her high school graduation, Kirsha found herself in the automotive world to fund her hobby of creating fairy gardens and her endless pursuit of owning more costumes. She left the automotive industry for Athabasca University and held different positions while there.
Kirsha was a bright light in this often dim world. She faced the world with her infectious smile and brought energy to every room she entered. She loved to laugh and even during the roughest times, held onto her sense of playfulness.
Kirsha was a fierce advocate for equity; attending rallies, volunteering, and using her social media platform to increase awareness of critical social issues. Her voice was always strong in pointing out inequities and demanding change.
At any family gathering, Kirsha could often be found playing with the children. She was so proud of her goddaughter, NaTalia, and had so much love for her.
On May 26, 2024, Kirsha left this world. Today and forever, she flies free. Kirsha will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in Greenfield Community League Hall, 3803 114 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6J 1M3.
