Lorne Alvin Lawrence

It is with broken hearts and extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne Lawrence at the age of 80 years. He passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital in Edmonton with family at his side.

Lorne will be forever & lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Sharon, his sons Curtis (Lori), Spruce Grove, Alta, and Corey (Tracy) Genesee, Alta,. His very precious grandchildren; Brianne (Tanner), Justin (Brianne), Jorgia, Jaiden and Jenna, his siblings; Elaine (John) Stony Plain, Alta, Marlene (Dwayne) Thorsby, Alta. and Glen (Helen) Leduc, Alta, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will also be missed by the friends he made in the short time he lived at Telford Mews, Leduc Alta..

Lorne was predeceased by his parents Bill and Irene Lawrence, his brothers Fred and Mervin, sister Nellie and husband Jim.

A visitation is on Wednesday February 7, 2024 at Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel 4802 - 47 Avenue from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday February 9, 2024 at 12:30 pm at the Genesee Hall.

Memorial donations may be made in Lorne’s name to The Alberta Diabetes Foundation or the Charity of your choice.

Thank you to the staff at the Grey Nuns Hospital where Lorne was for 4 months and at St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital for the last 4 months, for all their care and compassion.
