Brenda and Family, we met in 2006, became neighbors, we became renters, you became landlords a long history 13 years of relationship/friendship. We also loved Mark's sense of humor and a real his love for people.  We sending you all the love and strength you need at this time of mourning and loss. To Brenda, Ryan, Rhonda, spouses and all those grand children, 
I am very sorry to hear of Marks passing. 
I have very fond memories of quading, sledding and fishing trips.
I was there the day he pretty much went end over end in that mud bogger. No harm done..

Mark and I were born the same year and had many similar interests and with his sense of humor it made doing business a pleasure. A man of his word!
I specifically remember the day he called me for a luncheon meeting to tell me they were selling out.
He wanted me to hear it from him as it became very big news very fast.
Very successfully retired at 36!  

Wonderful man, wonderful family! Will be greatly missed.

I first met Mark while golfing in Sun City Grand, AZ.  I introduced myself as Denis R Schmidt from Hardisty, And thereafter, Mark called me Hardisty. He was so much fun! I also remember telling him that we had a short term renter in our house in Hardisty while we were spending the winter away. Mark asked me who this renter was and when I said his name / “Bob Callahan”, Mark immediately pulled out his phone and CALLED Bob!! He then proceeded to tell him to get out of that house - the owner does not want you in there! Bob figured it out as one of Mark’s jokes’ big laugh was had by all! Mark will be missed for sure!  He enjoyed life - and fought so hard to stay.  Submitted by Denis Schmidt

I met Mark through our golf group and hockey games in Arizona! I had the pleasure of riding with him on our last day of golf before he left.  Did not realize it would be my last ride with him. Mark never complained and always made us laugh. He always had the best Birdie Juice! 

I remember Mark as a hard working, caring and interesting man.
He loved his family so much and I witnessed his kindness and concern for others.
From what I heard and witnessed in the last months he was a very brave man during his illness.
We will all miss Mark very much

Our sincere condolences Brenda and to your family. May memories of Mark and the love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead. Mark packed a 100 yrs. of living in the short 62 yrs. of his life. 
We had the wonderful pleasure of sharing a flight together with Mark. While we were waiting at the gate for our flight, Mark searched us out. It was a lovely but short visit and he gave us his account on nursing a tiny kitten back to health. We were taken by his sincerity & his genuine optimism in helping this kitten gain strength & how dependent it was on him.  His words and description was all we needed to hear to know that this is a man that loved  to help others. From golfing, small get togethers & sharing the Phoenix Sun…he will be missed.

I am another or what I suspect are many “Arizona friends.”  I first met Mark as a “newbie” in the golf group.  I knew him first as a big, strong, positive, outgoing man who enjoyed life and welcomed me into the group.  It was hard to see him this winter made much easier by his positive attitude towards his health and his obvious desire to live each day well.  May God Bless all those around him with the same positive outlook and be comforted by it.

Dear Brenda and family our thoughts and prayers  are with you all at this time.  Mark was a wonderful friend  and was always so upbeat with life.  We always enjoyed our visits and golf games together.   Our group trip to Skichine has a special place in our hearts.  We all have such fond memories and Joyce your photo book you gifted us all is full proof. We all need to keep all  our fond memories close  to our hearts.  He was a special man.

I first met Mark when he started playing golf with our group in Arizona, about 10-12 years ago. He was just a great guy to be around...always joking and having fun no matter what we scored on the golf course.  Tough guy too...never complained about his illness even though we knew he was in pain at times. I'll miss my friend!



Didn't know Mark very well but  what i did know is that he was a fun loving wonderful man  and will surely be missed by anyone who ever met him. My prays are with all of you.
