Patricia "Pat" Ann Smolak

Pat is survived by her husband Paul; sons, John (Sarah) and Robert (Theresa); siblings: Ruby, William, James (Jennifer), Donna, Jennifer, Edward (Kyena), Randy (Laurie), Darlene (Joey), Diane (Tony), Jackie, very special brother Dale Ricard; grandchildren: Nickolas, Patricia, Sara (Jay), Jamie, Edmund, Joie (Alex), Jordan, Jonathan, Jenna; great granddaughter Valerie; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pat was preceded by her parents, Arvena George and John Girden; nephews: John Girden, Lionel Courchene and Lance Klein, and very special pops Art Ricard.

Pat was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved out to Alberta where she met her husband Paul and remained in Alberta. Pat enjoyed farm life and missed it dearly when she moved away from the farm. Pat loved to do funny things but she also was not one to hold back on her opinion. Pat had a heart of gold and loved her family unconditionally. Pat will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Young at Cancer Care; Dr. Ghazal; all the staff with the home care services; and EMS staff who attended when needed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, on December 12, 2025, at Hainstock and Son Funeral Chapel, 4802 47 Avenue Leduc, Alberta.
