Richard passed away suddenly at home on December 6, 2022 at the age of 52. Richard was a life-long farmer that loved outdoor sports - either skidooing and quadding depending on the time of year. He had a gift for hilarious and extremely clever one liners - so clever that it often took the hearer a while to realize just how funny Richard had just been.
Richard is survived by his parents, John & Lorraine Schneider of Leduc County, sisters Brenda (Brent) Reimer, Sylvia (Dale) Scheetz and brother Kevin Schneider as well as his nieces Anna and Sarah Scheetz and nephew Elijah Scheetz, his uncle and Godfather, Les Carlson, as well as numerous cousins and many friends.
Public visitation and prayer service Friday, December 16 at 7:30pm at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Leduc, 5012-51 Avenue, Leduc, Alberta. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 17 at 1 pm, also at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Leduc. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nisku. Memorial donations may be made to either Lutheran Hour Ministries, the Leduc Hub Association or charity of choice.
