Alyce Cole was born on June 23, 1947, and she was 76 years old. She was married to Willard Cole for 38 years and they had two sons, Danny Cole, wife Tina and Robert Cole. She also has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ms. Alyce was happiest when her husband and sons accepted Jesus as their personal savior. She loved her family and was always proud of them.
Ms. Alyce, as her family and friends lovingly called her, was a very humble person who never wanted recognition for anything she did. She preferred to stay in the background and allow others to get recognition. She worked her way through college to become a registered nurse, and later, she traveled throughout the Southeast to take care of patients.
One of Ms. Alyce's passions was talking about her faith. She was very vocal and wanted everyone to know Jesus personally.
She wasn't shy tell anyone who would listen about her Jesus. She would even walk up to strangers and ask them if they knew Jesus.
Ms. Alyce was a member of The Gathering Place and Trinity Worship Center, where she tirelessly served. She would get up early on Sunday mornings to pray and anoint every door and chair, hoping that someone's life would be changed by the word that would be spoken later that day. Her favorite place to serve was at the front door, where she greeted and hugged almost every person that came through.
Most Sundays, she would attend service at The Gathering Place and Trinity Worship Center. She would do anything anyone asked her to do, spending hours pricing and selling things at the yard sale. Ms. Alyce never complained or fussed about anything that was asked of her, and she did it all with a smile on her face.
Ms. Alyce's thoughtful and carefully crafted cards, filled with Bible verses and prayers, are a testament to the love and care she poured into everything she did. She prayed over each card, hoping that it would help just one person. She did this completely on her own, never signing the cards, and it took years for most to figure out who was sending them.
Ms. Alyce's life is an inspiration to us all. Despite facing hardships growing up, she never let it define her. Instead, she chose to live a life of service to her community and her faith. Her passion for spreading her faith was evident in her conversations with strangers and her tireless service at The Gathering Place and Trinity Worship Center. Her life is a reminder that we can all make a difference in the lives of those around us, even in the smallest ways.
Ms Alyce loved the Lord with all her heart and she lived to serve him. She leaves behind her loyal and beloved dog of 19 years, Diamond Jim.
