Augustus “Gus’’ Blankenship Jr. age 95 of Odenville passed away February 24, 2012. Gus is preceded in death by his wife Lelia Sparks Blankenship, son Terry D. Blankenship, grandson Robert Gary Blankenship and his brothers and sisters.He was a member of Odenville Methodist Church and Odenville Masonic Lodge #705
He is survived by his sons Lawrence D. Blankenship(Alice) and James Richard Blankenship(Jimmie Lou), brother Jack Blankenship (Eloise), grandchildren Ronald Blankenship, Sherri Blankenship, Janet Watson, Vickie Roden and Terri Giles, numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
The family will receive friends from5:30PM until 8:00PM on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Tuesday at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
