

Avery Clark Reaves, Jr., went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Lillie Mae, on July 22, 2011 after a brief illness. Mr. Reaves was a long time resident of Trussville, but recently resided in Moody. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, member of IBEW Local 136, Electrician’s Union and former owner of Electric Beach in Moody. He was an avid fisherman and loved his place at South Sauty on the Tennessee River. Mr. Reaves was a member of the Vandiver Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Reaves; son, William Jack Reaves; parents, Clark and Dora Reaves; sisters, Ruth Melton, Jeanne Edwards and Faye Reaves.
He is survived by his daughters, Joy Dollar (Blaine) and Jenny Eastis; sons, Richard Reaves (Cindy), Gary Reaves (Joan) and Ken Reaves (Sherry); brother-in-law, Paul Tillison; grandchildren, Amy Sims (Chris), Landon Dollar, Misti Belser, Dori Richardson (Brad), Clark Reaves (Erin), Dustin Reaves (Allison), Deric Reaves (Kim), Dalton Reaves, Weston Reaves, Treasha Reaves, Blake Brady, Alesha Ince, Nicole Byers, Callie Jo Eastis, Clay Eastis and Avery-Anna Eastis; great-grandchildren, Trey and Kyle Underwood, Jordan Sims, Shelby Reaves, Maci and Brant Belser, Levi Richardson, Austyn Reaves, Braxton and Emily Reaves, Kiley, Lucas and Logan Reaves, Madison Brady, Abby Ince and Tucker Byers; several nieces and a nephew and his pets, George, Cappie and Suzi.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 25, 2011 at 6:30 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home-Leeds Chapel with burial on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11:00 am at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
The family would like to thank all their friends who have prayed so faithfully for our Daddy’s recovery. We know now that he is well and whole again.
