I love you, Bobby! You were the best dad and Papaw I could have asked for! 

Hey Cindy. I wanted to say that I understand what you are going thru and I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember the times we talked and you shared with me what a sweet person your stepdad was. I know you loved him. I  pray that God will bring you peace and comfort. If I remember correctly, your children were close too. I will be lifting all of you up. Losing parents is so difficult. Love you my Friend.

Many good family times were shared on a Sunday afternoon at grandma Oswalts with lunch and all us grandkids roaming everywhere . Bobby and my brother James spent countless hours quail hunting and playing tennis or softball. Miss Leona pampered all of us cousins to the max of her ability and in doing so she instilled that trait in each of us .Bobby was a man who loved all his family and each time I was able to talk to him it was easy to tell he was happy to discuss his family as well as old times .So hard to realize that life is just that vapor that my Uncle Jr. who led me to the LORD used to preach about .Bobby and family I want to say thank you for all the good times and wonderful memories we have shared. It has been said many times that as long as someone remembers you ,you never die . Bobby will long be remembered! We love each of you!

Bobby was a very nice person, brother-in-law, a wonderful husband to my little sister, Shirley, whom I grew to love very much as I was staying with them,  during her illness helping to care for her. My prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time God bless you.


Haven’t seen Bobby but a time or two since high school but I’ll always remember the night he scored 55 points in our basketball game against Weir high school. Everything he threw went in the basket!! A great player & a good friend! Prayers for the family.

What a blessing to have called Bobby Oswalt “my big brother”.   He loved me unconditionally and always supported me in everything I did.  I am thankful for the memories of long phone conversations, going to antique auctions often,  looking at old family photos for hours, talking about our grandkids, making pecan pralines together and of course analyzing the Crimson Tide year after year.  Really great times!  He loved family gatherings even if it was just the women and girls, like Cori’s bridal shower. Maybe the food was a large part of that but mostly it was his girls, sisters, mom, cousins, aunt, granddaughter, and nieces that kept him coming back to those showers. I am also thankful that Eddie had the opportunity to really know Bobby and learn so many things from him.  I love you Bobby Wayne Oswalt - can’t imagine what it will be like now but you  must be celebrating that new life and new body as you are joining Mom, Dad, Shirley, grandparents, and other family members!  I will continue to remember all of our precious years together as siblings. 

I met Mr. Oswalt through my job at Cook Springs.  We had a great friendship that developed primarily out of our love of college.  We talked endlessly about it, especially about Alabama and Auburn.   He was a big Bama fan.  We always discussed the games after the weekend.  I will not ever watch another Bama game without thinking of him.  I love you. Mr Oswalt.  I will miss you.  Roll Tide!!
