Mr. Mize married his true love and best friend on his birthday in 2008. He was a Gulf War Veteran, serving in the Navy. He was loved by many. A lifelong resident of Odenville, AL, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He graduated from St. Clair County High School in 1985. He was Town Hero for returning stolen money during a robbery.
He is survived by his wife, Christy Leigh Mize, daughter, Kayla Huffman (Dylan), son, Kyle Huffman, parents, Lee Mize and Sarah Mize, sisters, Christy Glaze (John), Charlotte Niles (Chris), brothers, Gary Mize, Shannon (Lila) Mize, granddaughter, Emma Lauren Fox, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 9 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2 PM at Kilgroe Leeds Chapel with burial at Branchville Cemetery.
