Donna Martin Abernathy

Mrs. Abernathy was preceded in death by her mother Sarah Green.

Donna was hard working with a simple motto, “Family First” she expressed

no matter what problems presented themselves together we can overcome any obstacles.

Daddy was the sugar coater and Mom was straight to the point. Her policy was even if you didn't ask for my opinion for your sake I'll give it to you.

Her last request for DJ was to look after my baby Zach and my daughter Terra.

Zach my sunshine I didn't want to leave you but God called me home. Always remember I love you and will be watching over you.

Terra stay strong and respect yourself you are my beautiful daughter.

DJ my oldest - I love you and am very proud of the man you are.

She often said Dennis did the praying for our family and she did the fussing.

Her last working days was spent at Jacks in Moody working out front as hostess and cashier. Donna enjoyed talking and taking care of her family and feeding her friends.

A daughter, wife, sister and mother to her husband, Dennis Abernathy; her three children, Zachary Noah Abernathy, Terra Michelle Abernathy, Dennis Abernathy Jr. (DJ);

Father, Billy Joe Martin; sisters, Cynthia Martin Loggins (Matthew) and Sandy Martin Armstrong (Kenny).

Visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on Wednesday, March 8, 2017from 6PM until 8PM.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
