Ernest Walker

Walker, Ernest Hershel age 83, of Moody, AL passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Green Hurst Walker and Viola Morris Walker. Mr. Walker was the assistant manager at A&P Groceries; shipping clerk for Stockham Valves and Fittings; a member of the Masons and Order of the Eastern Star; served in the ministry at Freewill Baptist Church as a pastor in the following areas, Pea Ridge, Anniston, Bessemer, Wattsville, Union Hill in Vandiver, AL; New Life (currently Moody Freewill Baptist) and Fairview Baptist Church in Moody, AL. He also served his country by joining the Air Force National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Imojean Walker; daughters, Terrie Brasher (Donald) and Tracye Stone (Earnest) “Buba”; sister, Louella Reed; brother, James Walker (Carolyn); grandchildren, Trey Brasher (Ginger), Cody Brasher, Kelsey Freiberger (Nick), Hunter Stone (Jennifer) and Bryan Tutton and great grandchildren, Cambry Brasher and Jace Freiberger.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds from 11:00Am until 12:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds beginning at 12:00PM with burial to follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
