Florence Mae Sutherland

Florence was born in Birmingham, Alabama. The family moved to Chattanooga where she attended high school and graduated from the University of Chattanooga. Florence received her Master’s Degree in Religious Education from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. She resided in Miami, Fl before returning to Birmingham, AL in 1992. “Flo” is survived by her niece, Donna M. Hillhouse of Kingsport, TN and her nephew David M. Williams, Jr of Birmingham, AL. She is aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Florence was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, 1114 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Dawson Memorial Baptist Church’s Children’s programs.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 1PM in the Bethany Baptist Church Community Cemetery located at 1612 County Road 201, Crane Hill, AL 35053. Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds directing.
