Gary Michael Roper, Sr. age 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Roper, Jr. and Jean Bradshaw Roper of Trussville, AL; and brother, Edward Dennis Roper, of Moody, AL.
Mike is survived by his wife of 62 years, Darleen Gates Roper; daughter, Belinda Harris (Danny); sons, Gary Michael Roper, Jr. (Cindy) and David Wayne Roper (Jennifer); grandchildren, Christopher Roper, Dean Roper, Kayla Tracy, Amber Rock, Baleigh Dooley, Kristen Ferguson, Trinity Whitton, Tommy Manly, Jamie Schatz and Jorja Hood; 25 great grandchildren and brother, Ronald B. Roper.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Sulphur Springs Cemetery beginning at 2:00PM.
