Gordon Wade Smith

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Augusta Smith and brother Marvin Smith. Mr. Smith was Past Exalted Ruler of BPOE #79, he was a life member serving for 43 years. Member of the American Legion Post 107 in Leeds and was serving as adjutant general and treasurer.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edith “Edie” Smith, daughters, Brenda J. Smith, Audrey Warren (Dannie), special daughter, Sheree Barnes, son, Brian Scott Smith (Cheryl Ann), sister, Amy Taylor (Des), grandsons, Brian Wade Smith, Richard Joseph Smith, Christopher Barnes (Sarah), Jonathan Barnes, granddaughters, Danielle Self (Bill), Alexandria Warren, Abigail Warren, (7) great grandchildren and (1) great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 7:00 PM from Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel.
