James Andrew Wheatley

Wheatley, James Andrew age 91, of Leeds, AL passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021. Mr. Wheatley was a member at Jefferson Park Independent Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was employed at Lovick Brick Yard and Garner Stone Company where he spent 65 dedicated years as a master stone mason making the Birmingham and surrounding areas beautiful one stone at a time. He also shared the Gospel for 26 years through a radio ministry at WLPH and WURL.

He is survived by his wife, Dolly Wheatley; daughter, Joyce Brasher and Janet Ingram; grandchildren, Donna Armstrong, Ronald “Poncho” Brasher, Christy Thomas, Amos “Bubba” Armstrong and Jamie Armstrong and great grandchildren, Joshua Armstrong, Mason Armstrong, Peyton Weathington, Rachel Albarran, Colton Armstrong, Braden Brasher, Maddie Armstrong, Jaxon Armstrong, Rylee Albarran, Alexandria "A.J." Albarran, Addyson “Addie” Albarran, Noah Armstrong, Eli Armstrong and Caroline Weathington.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds from 12 Noon to 2:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds beginning at 2:00PM with burial to follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
