

James Harold Cooper, age 62, resident of Moody, AL passed away March 14, 2016. He was born in Waukegan, IL on June 29, 1953 to Earlie and Lizzie Cooper. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his mother, Lizzie Cooper, sister, Marilyn Mooney and two grandchildren, Kayla Cooper and Aiden Weaver.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dolores Cooper; sons, Jesse Cooper (Vickie), Casey Cooper (Staci); daughter, Dayna Cooper; grandchildren, Brittany Nearen, Trevor Cooper, Chelsea Posey, Holly Posey, Brannon and Katie Weaver, one great-grandchild, Alexis Nearen. He is also survived by his father, Earlie Cooper Jr., and his sister, Brenda Martin along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cooper attended high school in North Hollywood California and South Plains College in Lubbock, Texas. He was employed by the State of Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries for 15 years. He was retired from SAM’s Club in Homewood and was a veteran of the Second Armored Division at Ft. Hood, TX. Mr. Cooper was also a member of the Central Alabama Rod and Custom Car Club. He loved his family, working hard and old cars.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 at 6PM from Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel.
