James Arthur Skeels was born on August 24, 1944, in Ohio. He passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 81. He was a resident of Springville, Alabama. James is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Kathleen Skeels and brother, Ralph Skeels. James is survived by his wife, Kathy Skeels; daughters, Donna Jean Skeels Sanders and Kari McClernon; sons, James Lee Skeels, James Wood, Donald Wood, Robert McClernon and Jonathan Elder. 28 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday February 3, 2026 from 1:00-2:00PM from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with a Funeral Service to begin at 2:00PM.
