Janice Parker

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Janice "Nunna , NiNi” Parker, who went home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on February 10, 1943, Janice was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Evelyn Acton, husband Sid, her daughter Sandy, and brother Doug. Known for her deep faith, kindness, and the love she shared with her family.

Janice is survived by four wonderful children: Scott (Wendy), David, Lori (Wayne)and Amber (Sabra). Her legacy continues through her loving grandchildren:

Brittni (Marshall), Blake (Savanna), Brad, Shea (David), Chris (Kaitlyn), Brandon, Ryan, Ashanti, Meaghan, Danielle, and Lisa, as well as her 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life. She was the only sister of her best friend and brother, Jimmy.

A woman deeply rooted in her faith, Janice exemplified love, grace, and devotion in everything she did. She cherished her family above all, and her warmth, compassion, and strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A service to celebrate Janice's life will be held at Kilgore Funeral Home, Leeds on Monday, March 3, 2025 beginning at 2:00PM with burial to follow at Kendrick Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds from 1:00PM to 2:00PM. The family invites all who were touched by her kindness and love join in honoring her memory.
