Mary Evelyn Robertson

Mary Evelyn Vaughn Robertson of Springville, Alabama, passed away on November 16, 2022, at her son’s home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Della Vaughn; husband of 40 years, Arvil Robertson; brothers James Vaughn (Deira), William Vaughn, Cecil Vaughn (Mary); sisters Earline Simmons (Elbert), Cathlene Vaughn, Mildred Wise (Joel) Edna Mae Luna (Doug); daughters Rena Bevel (Greg), Karen Brock (Mike); and grandson, Jason Bevel. She is survived by daughter, Ann McGuire and son Ken Robertson (Donna), nine grandchildren and soon to be 21 great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Saturday November 19, 2022 from 1:00PM - 2:00PM from the Cool Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Ashville Alabama with a funeral service to follow at 2:00PM. Burial will be in the Adjoining Cemetery.

Evelyn Robertson grew up in Ashville, Alabama, and was a longtime citizen of Springville, where she and her husband raised their children. She worked at United Chair in Leeds for many years. She loved spending time in her yard cultivating flowers and spending time with her family. In her late years, she enjoyed sitting on her porch, watching the school children play and the traffic pass by. Her feisty spirit knew no bounds. She is loved and will be missed.
