Michael Ray Summers

Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Alma Fortenberry.

Mike is survived by his wife, Susan Summers, daughter, Amanda Michelle Summers-Burch, parents, Ray and Robbie Summers, his loving sister, Linda Wesson, grandson, Palmer Burch, niece, Melissa Vann (Lamar) and nephew, Scott Glidewell.

Mike Summers was the Owner of Gradco Landscaping for over 30 years. He served on the Board of Directors at Covenant Bank, was a graduate of St. Clair County High School, active member of The Church at Brook Hills, served in the United States Army, and was a long time supporter of the University of Alabama. Donations may be made to the Church at Brook Hills or The Big Oak Boys Ranch.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at St. Vincent’s East.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Branchville Cemetery.
