Nelda J. Coupland

June 14, 1933 ~ January 20, 2021

June grew up in the Bethel, Ebenezer, Branchville area of St. Clair County. She was the daughter of Herbert C. Taylor and Stella C. Taylor. June graduated from St. Clair County High School in 1951. She graduated from the Jefferson-Hillman School of Nursing in 1954. As a registered nurse June worked at Davis Clinic in Leeds. Bessemer General Hospital and Leeds Hospital. In 1963 June took a job and began working at the ACIPCO Medial Clinic and worked there for 25 years until retirement in 1988. She married Carl C. Coupland on December 3, 1954. They were married 66 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Margaret Ann (Margie) Crow. She is survived by her husband, Carl C. Coupland, a son, Michael A. Coupland (Jeanie), twin granddaughters Beverly Armstrong (Alex) and Ginger Gilbert (Jeremy), five great grandchildren, Allee June and Caroline Armstrong. Jackson, Kinslee and Ellison Gilbert, and one sister, Betty T. Perry, along with 2 nephews and 1 niece.

There will be a public graveside service only on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at 11:00AM at Branchville Cemetery. Richard Crocker will conduct the service.
