Teresa Lopez of Leeds, AL passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
She was born in Havana, Cuba and came to the United States in 1968. She loved the USA and became a proud citizen in 1977. Above all else, she had a profound and deep love for her family.
“Abuela” as she was lovingly known by her family is survived by her children Mercedes “Mercy” Hardegree (Tony), Pedro (Carol), four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, no services will be held.
The family wishes to give special appreciation to the Bonventre family, Diaz family , her great neighbors Donna and Larry, friends at Leeds Senior Center exercise class and Southern Care Hospice New Beacon
