William Clyde Ewen went to be with our Heavenly Father on December 21, 2025. He enjoyed his life to the fullest with family and friends. He watched the Oregon Football game on Saturday, December 20th and had suggestions for the Oregon coach. Later that evening, he fell ill and was transported to the Brookwood Emergency Care Center. He passed away in the early hours of Sunday, December 21, 2025.
Bill was born in LaGrande, Oregon to Donald and Muriel Ewen on October 11,1946. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War served in the Navy. He worked at Xerox for 32 years. He has remained friends with many of the Xerox folks.
Bill aways had some interesting stories to share with family and friends. He enjoyed our travels throughout the United States as well into other countries. He had his fishing buddies who have their own “catch & release” stories. Enjoyed our golf trips with our friends to Myrtle Beach. The group’s name was “Dickweed Tours”. We went with friends to Jimmy Buffet Concerts…always a great party. These are only a few of the stories in his life.
We moved to Birmingham in July 2017. One of our better decisions as we gained new friends. Bill was one of the “Jackasses” at the Inverness Country Club. What a great group of guys!
Bill embraced his days to the fullest with lots of tee times, traveling to spend time with his son and family in Florida, and relaxing with his pets at home.
Bill is survived by his wife, Betty, his sister, Dianne Ewen (Oregon), Dianne’s son Dan Crawford, Ft. Worth, TX.
