Gerald Edmund Vickers

Memorial services for Gerald “Vic” Edmund Vickers 84 , of Leesville will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, LA., with the Rev. Trey Henry officiating.

Mr. Vickers has lived in Vernon Parish since 1967. He was born on March 2, 1928 in Rochester, NY. and went home to be the Lord on March 8, 2012. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Mr. Vickers was a member of the Retired American Legion Post 387 in New Llano, LA. and was a very dedicated member. Mr. Vickers was extremely patriotic and loved his country. He had a passion for nature and loved feeding wild animals, as well as doing creative handy work. Mr. Vickers was lucky enough to have had 2 good women in his life.

He is survived by son: David Vickers and daughter: Debbie Murray; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Vickers was preceded in death by his parents, and wives: Mary Lea Vickers and Jutta Irene Vickers.
