
Ms. Mildred W. Martin, 82, of Anacoco, Louisiana went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in her residence, surrounded by her family. Ms. Martin was born on June 20, 1933 in Plainview, LA., to William Raliegh Williams and Lydia Leah Hilton Williams. She was a retired School Bus Driver with the Vernon Parish School Board. She was an Elder of the Crystal Springs Baptist Church and devoted member for 60 plus years. Ms. Martin loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Ms. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Glenn Martin; parents, William Raliegh Williams and Lydia Leah Hilton Williams; one son, James Dennis Martin; one brother, Donald Williams.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Steve Martin and wife, Keri, of Wichita, KS, Stan Martin and wife, Dena, of Andover, KS; one daughter, Glenda Martin LaCaze and husband, Gary, of Corpus Christi, TX; two sisters, Elaine Blankenship and husband, Wes, Debra Pantalion and husband, Ray; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great – grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Monday, January 18, 2016 at 4:00 PM and go until the time of service on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Visitation and services will be held at Crystal Springs Baptist Church in Anacoco, LA., with Brother Huey Hayman and Brother Willie Ray Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home, Leesville, LA.
