Paige Christine Miller

Paige Christine Miller passed away on January 15, 2015 at the age of 50 following a brief battle with cancer. She was born on May 5, 1964 to Lynn and Thomas Hensley in Big Spring, Texas. Her father was deceased in 1968 during the Vietnam War and she was raised by her mother and step father, Jerry Nugent.

Paige married Tony Miller, the love of her life, on July 13, 1996. A talented musician and passionate teacher, she was the band director at Leesville Junior High for many years and an inspiration to her students. Paige was a beloved step-mother to her step-sons and treasured the times she spent with her nieces and nephews. She was also known for her love of animals, especially cats. She was always the life of any gathering with her contagious laugh and fun-loving spirit. Life will definitely not be the same without her, and she will be greatly missed.

Paige is survived by her husband, Tony, step- sons Jonathan and Benjamin Miller, mother, Lynn Prejean, step-father, Jerry Nugent, Sr, brothers, Jerry Nugent, II, Michael Nugent and Lane Hensley, sister, Holly St Aubin, nieces, Christina Hensley, Marlie St. Aubin, Julianne Nugent and nephews, Thomas Hensley, Jay Nugent and Dylan St. Aubin.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana. Visitation will be at 4:00PM, and the service will follow at 5:00PM.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Vernon Parish Chamber Orchestra.
