

On the morning of October 30, 2015, Rev. Alice Campos went to be with the Lord. She was 89 years old. Rev. Campos was a well-known minister working with Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal M.I. She lived in Brooklyn New York where she founded the Asamblea Pentecostal Church M.I. in 1965. She ministered in Brooklyn until she relocated to Fort Myers Florida in 1982.
After arriving in Fort Myers she continued ministering and giving her time to the community. Rev. Alice Campos worked with the jail ministry, volunteered for Lee Memorial Health System for many years and she also volunteered for Department of Children and Families. Her voice could be heard weekly through the air waves as she hosted the radio program Escuadron de Oracion. She was the pastor of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Church M.I. from 1993-2010.
This amazing lady played an important role in the life of many who knew her. She along with her husband Rufus Campos who passed away June 2001 worked together helping many in need. The Campos family took into their home from the streets of New York three young girls who’s lives were transformed forever; Heather Mikels, Maria Santiago and the late Rosa Claudio. Rev. Campos was an outstanding Pastor, wife, mother and grandmother who loved Jesus Christ with all her heart.
She is survived by her two daughters Mildred Marrero and Alice Acevedo, two son in Laws Carlos Acevedo, Rev. Edward Marrero, twenty two grandchildren and one great grand.
A Celebration of Rev. Alice Campos’ life will be held at Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Church M.I. at 1091 Ortiz Ave in Fort Myers on Wednesday November 4, 2015, at 7:00pm.
