Floyd S. Martinez

March 18, 1929 – May 31, 2012

Marty was born March 18, 1929 in Cuba, New Mexico to Rejino and Susana Martinez. Marty passed away in San Diego at the age of 83 years. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Marty was a Tool and Die Maker for aircraft repair for over 21 years and has lived in San Diego County for 54 years. Marty served his country in the US Air Force. He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus San Miguel Council 3667, where he was a Past Grand Knight and was currently serving as Membership Director.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 4 – 7 p.m. with Vigil Service at 6:30 p.m., both at Conrad Mortuary Chapel (7387 Broadway, Lemon Grove, CA 91945). Funeral Mass on Thursday June 7, 2012 at 12 noon, St. John of the Cross Catholic Church – 8086 Broadway – Lemon Grove, CA 91945. Interment with Military Honors by the US Air Force will follow the Mass at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, California.

Marty is survived by his loving friend Alfreda “Alfie” Richter and her children; son Ronald Martinez; step-brother and his wife Roy and Regina Trujillo; brother-in-law Don Verela; and by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
