Frank B. Sosa

He passed away at Sharp Hospice Parkview Home in Del Cerro due to complications from cancer. A graduate of Mount Miguel High School and attended Grossmont College. He was employed for 28 years at the San Diego Union Tribune.

Rusty was a loving husband, son, brother, father and best friend. He was always there with a smile and positive outlook on everything. He was a natural athlete and excelled in many sports. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, and do it yourself projects. He was a master problem solver; no problem too big or too small. He touched so many lives as a young man and as an adult. He coached Little League Baseball for Cajon de Oro Little League. Rusty became a volunteer for the American Cancer Society years before he was diagnosed with cancer. He loved talking to the many people he met through Daffodils and "Relay for Life". Our thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Sharp Hospice Parkview Home.

Predeceased by his father Frank A. Sosa Jr. and sister Sheila Sosa. Survived by his wife Robin Sosa, Spring Valley, CA; sons, Lance Sosa, Kelsey Shaver, and Robert Price, all of San Diego; daughter, Erin Price, Richmond, VA; mother, Lenore Maxey, Alpine, CA; sisters, Roberta Windisch (Fred), Murrieta, CA, and Sharon Sosa, Murrieta, CA; brother, Ray King Sosa, Alpine, CA; nieces Veronica Broe (Jon), Danyell Nesser (Ron), Starr Bray (Donny), Ashley Windisch and Jennifer Sain; one grandson, Isaac Sosa, San Diego; and too numerous to list and all very special to him - many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service to honor his life will be Friday, March 2, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2766 Navajo Rd., San Diego, CA 92020. A gathering of friends and family will be held immediately after at Mission Trails Golf Course 7380 Golfcrest Place, San Diego, CA 92119.
