James Vincent Alesi, age 90, of La Mesa, California passed away on Friday March 13, 2020. James was born September 20, 1929 in Detroit Michigan to Vita and Mariano Alesi. James was married to Mary Alesi.
James had a passion for life and his family. Mary was the light of his life, and he loved spending time with her. He was proud of his heritage and faith and belonged to the Italian Catholic Federation. Jim loved to pray the Rosary and go to church; when he was not spending time with his family, you would find him building things. His granddaughter Liz asked him one time, what was the best invention of his life time, and he replied "Power Tools", and he had a lot of power tools to help with his many projects he loved to work on. He also loved ice cream, and was not supposed to have it, but would take his grandchildren to have ice cream, and drip some on his shirt and his wife Mary would call him out on it. James was really good playing Bocce Ball and won several awards.
James is survived by; son Jim Alesi; son John Alesi; son Michael Alesi; and daughter Constance Rhamy; 10 Grandchildren; and 9 Great Grandchildren. He is going to be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
James was preceded in death by his wife Mary Alesi; daughter Carmella Spencer; father Mariano Alesi and mother Vita Alesi.
