Mary Rose Jones

June 20, 1927 - October 13, 2016

Mary was born in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of Loretta and Dominic Patitucci. She spent her childhood and youth in South Bend, Indiana, where her father owned and operated a grocery store. She moved with her family to southern California in 1947. Mary retired from Safeway Stores after being a cashier for over 35 years. She is survived by her three children, Bonnie (Larry) Sundberg of Bradenton, FL; Dan (Gigi) Jones of Grants Pass, OR; and Bill Jones of Lemon Grove, CA. Mary was blessed to have four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Catherine Mazzone of Jamul, CA. Mary was predeceased by her six brothers, Jack, Joe, Tony, Louie, Frank and Bill Patitucci. Mary was a devout Catholic. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 4 at 10:00 am at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 8086 Broadway, Lemon Grove, CA 91945.
