Norma Louise Hamilton

(1925-2017)

Norma Hamilton, 92, of Chula Vista, California, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Good Samaritan Retirement Center in El Cajon, California. She was born January 12, 1925, in Marion, Illinois to the late Walter and Roberta (Hinchcliff) Hudgens. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family. She was a member of the Chula Vista Community Church in Chula Vista, California.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas O. Hamilton, along with four siblings. She is survived by her son, Gary L. Hamilton (Carol) of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughter Deborah K. Byrne (Patrick) of Jamul, California; grandchildren Bobby Byrne (Jean) of San Diego, California; Dr. Scott Hamilton (Kristin) of Denver, Colorado; Shannon Roehrs (Tim) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Paul Byrne (Katie) of San Diego, California; Julie Wilcox (Shawn) of Lincoln, Nebraska; Steve Byrne of San Diego, California; and Jennifer Witte (Dan) of Chicago, Illinois; and 14 great grandchildren, Andrew, Caleb, Carter, Everett, Gabriela, Garrett, Hayley, Jon, Katie, Linden, Nina, Riley, Samantha, and Vince.

Services will be held on July 17, 2017, at Bankston Fork cemetery in Harrisburg, Illinois. Norma will be placed to rest next to her late husband.
