

Born April 27, 1969, in Lenoir, N.C., she was the daughter of Max and Norma (Grogan) Williams. She graduated from South Caldwell High School and the University of South Florida magna cum laude.
Amanda married Charles Richard Barbare Nov. 4, 2006, at University Park Country Club. She was a loving mother and homeschool teacher to their 5-year-old son, Max.
Amanda enjoyed photography and hiking out West. She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Lakewood Ranch.
Her creative genius showed during holidays through Max’s handmade Halloween costumes, the special pecan French toast she made on Christmas day and the beautiful Christmas trees that she decorated with sentimental ornaments and every light in the right place.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, and son, Max, both of Punta Gorda, FL; sister and best friend, Lori A. Downey, of Nokomis, FL; mother, Norma Grogan Williams, of Hudson, and brother, Mitchell Clark, of Granite Falls.
A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at Cornerstone Church, 14306 Covenant Way, Lakewood Ranch, FL, with Pastor Ted Hamm officiating.
A graveside service will take place Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2:00PM at Mount Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lenoir. The Rev. Joe Parker will officiate.
Memorial contributions can be made to a children’s charity of choice.
Amanda had a tender heart and a strong, unspoken sweetness. She will be deeply missed.
