Annie Bryant

Mrs. Bryant was born in Caldwell County to the late William Blackwelder Clark and Mattie Baldwin Clark White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ozroe Bryant; a son, Robert Lee “Bobby” Bryant; four brothers and two sisters. She was a homemaker, a former member of Union Baptist Church and also attended Celia Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Ernest Wayne “Buddy” Bryant and wife Marsha of Moravian Falls; two daughters, Judith Diane Hamby, husband Jerry and Janet Kay Marlow, husband Earl, both of Granite Falls; a sister, Susie Verniece “Red” Gentry of Gamewell’ seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Union Baptist Church Wednesday, October 06, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Marvin Ford officiating and speaker Mr. Coleman Lee Hamby. Burial will follow at Celia Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Coleman Lee Hamby, Michael Bryant, Earl Marlow, David Pierce, and Terry Clark.

The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
