April Lynne Scott

April was born on May 15, 1958 in Caldwell County to Peggy Scott and the late Chalmers Hood. She was preceded in death by a sister, grandparents and several other family members.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother; one daughter, Nekeeba Scott; one son, Devin Scott, both of Lenoir, NC; three sisters, Robin Scott of Lenoir, Yvonne Scott Artis (Maurice) of Chattanooga, TN, Karen Norwood Buffert (Clyde) of Winston Salem, NC; one brother, Harlan Dula (Lynn) of Charlotte, NC; one granddaughter, McKinsey Scott; special friend, Louis Sanders, and a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service for April Scott will be Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Smith Memorial United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Alvin Brown officiating. The family will receive friends 1:30 p.m. until 1:55 p.m. prior to the service. The family is receiving at the home of Lisa Felder, 501 Stonewall St, NW.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to April Scott’s son, Devin Scott, a student at NCA&T State University to 412 Virginia St SW Apt 5, Lenoir, NC 28645 c/o Peggy Scott.
