Arnold Vernon Hamby

Mr. Hamby was born in Caldwell County on February 19, 1916 to the late Granville and Neallie Story Hamby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Norris Hamby; one son, Maurice Hamby; four brothers, and five sisters.

He was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church in Lenoir, NC.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Carolyn Hamby Triplett and husband, Brady of Lenoir, NC; one brother, Atwell Hamby of Hudson, NC; one grandchild; two step-granddaughters; and one great grandchild; and a special daughter-in-law, Brenda Hamby; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Hamby will be held Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Yadkin Baptist Church in Lenoir, NC with the Reverend Robert Livingston and the Reverend Jim Hamby officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
