Barbara S. Pigg

Mrs. Pigg was born in Caldwell County to the late Joseph Samuel Silver and Ollie Hall Silver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Leon Silver.

She was a member of Kings Creek Baptist Church where she was a church pianist and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Arm In Arm Support Group for breast cancer.

Survivors include her husband Joseph C. Pigg of the home; a sister, Ruth S. Haigler of Lenoir; several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Pigg will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Kings Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Randy Goode, Reverend Raymond Spann and Reverend Sam Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Hall, David Hall, Steve Silver, Randall Silver, Joe Silver and Athan Silver.

The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
