

Barbara was born on February 27, 1938 in New Paltz, NY. She was the daughter of Bertram and Hilda Cook. Barbara was married to her true love and best friend for 51 years to Thomas “Bud” Sadler who predeceased her in 2006.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, husband and brother Bertram “Butch” Cook, Jr.
Barbara retired in 2000 from Sullivan Diagnostic Center, Harris, NY. She was a former member and founder of the Pine Brush, NY Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Wanasink Lake Club, Rock Hill, NY. She was an active member of The Calvary Advent Christian Church, Lenoir NC.
Left with beautiful memories are her 4 children, a very devoted daughter and caregiver Tina Gray and her husband Roy of Lenoir, NC; Tomas Sadler, Jr and his wife Terry of Greenville, SC; Donna Sadler of Port Richey, Fl.; and Noreen Phillips and her husband Joe of Williamsburg, KY; Brothers, Donald Cook and his wife Linda of Weeki Wachee, FL; and Paul Cook and his wife Marion of New Platz, NY; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Barbara’s family will forever cherish the fond memories of growing up on the lake, holiday gatherings and those wonderful Christmas cookies she baked. Barbara will be dearly missed and always remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday September 8, 2015 at Calvary Advent Christian Church, 1338 Delwood Dr SW, Lenoir, NC at 11:00am with Rev. Jim Lee officiating. Graveside servicesThe family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 at the church.
