Barbara Lutz Sides

Mrs. Sides was born on May 23, 1937 in Maiden, NC, to the late Ray Alfred and Virginia Rudisill Lutz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Sides; and son, Earl Sides, Jr.

Survivors include Cynthia Marshall and husband, Gary, Greg Sides and Jody, Teresa Christensen and husband, Dale, Jeff Sides and wife, Debbie, Tracy Sides and wife Crystal, five sisters, Pat Duncan, Jean Welch, Claudette Moses, Jeanette Waters, Geneva Flowers, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sides will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm at West Lenoir Baptist Church with Reverend James Lockee and Reverend Rick Safriet officiating. Mrs. Sides will lie in state thirty minutes before the service. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Brian Whisnant, Dale Christensen, Dustin Sides, Roger Register, Joe

Norris and Bud Dula.
