Billy Joe Compton Sr.

He was born February 17, 1937. He was the son of the late Violet Josephine Davis and James Connor Compton, Sr. He was preceded in death by James P. and Mamie Lou Compton; Jason D. and Eunice Compton; Lewis W. and Floy Compton; J.C. Jr. and Frankie Compton; Niles E. and Madge Compton; C. Everette Compton; Clyde C. Compton; Joseph Kent Compton, Aaron O. Compton and Carolyn Compton; Lois Compton Bailey and Pete Bailey; Robert W. Compton; Omega Starnes Compton and Ralph Starnes.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Christa Compton, his daughter and son-in-law Christa Carolene Parmer and James Parmer; his son Billy Joe Compton, Jr.; and his grandchildren Billy Joe Compton III, Justin Compton; Danielle Compton; Lexi Chase, Christa Tatoysian, and James Parmer; and his great-grandchildren Jaden and Josiah Compton; Billy Joe Compton IV; Chloe Compton; Theodore Tatyosian, and Oliver Tatyosian.

He was a member of Day 3 Church in Granite Falls, NC, and attended Valley Church in Vacaville CA for many years. He was privileged to spend many years serving the Lord by working as Director of Finances at Valley Church and at Day 3 Church.

His favorite verse is Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In lieu of any flowers or other items, the family requests contributions can be made to Day 3 Church or to Carolina Caring who provided so much assistance and support to the family.
