Mr. Boyce Wayne Long, 84, of Lenoir passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 while at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Mr. Long was born to the late George and Bessie Earp Long on September 10, 1938 in Caldwell County. In addition to his parents, a brother, Elbert Long., preceded him in death.
Mr. Long attended Union Grove Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted son and brother. He worked as a furniture repairman for multiple furniture companies for many years. He enjoyed camping with his family and truly loved the time he spent with his many nieces and nephews.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Gerald Long of Lenoir and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Union Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Sam Craven, Rev, Jeff Lambert and Rev. Zack Bryant officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Garden in Lenoir.
Serving as pallbearers will be Elbert Long, Ray Long, Jordon Long, George Long, Jamie Blair, David Long and AJ Rivera.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Union Grove Baptist Church.
