Mrs. Carol Maurice Walls Montelongo, age 85 of Drexel, NC passed away, on Friday, January 13, 2023. Born Sunday, December 5, 1937 to the late Pearl Day Walls and Charles Bartlett Walls in Turner County, Georgia.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband Gabriel Montelongo Sr., daughters Vickie Timmer and Angela Montelongo.
Mrs. Montelongo is survived by her sons, Charles Whitley, Robert Whitley (Wife Joyce), Frank Montelongo, Joseph Montelongo, and son in-law James (JT) Timmer, Daughters Patti Boudreau (Husband Michael), and Jerri Lee Montelongo. Carol leaves behind Sister Linda Barret and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, to whom she was known as Nana, that she felt blessed to have.
Carol will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a special love for her grand babies and enjoyed every moment with them that she could. She had a talent and love for making jewelry, decorating cakes, and reading.
The Montelongo family will receive friends Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm at Pendry's Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service for Carol will be held at Pendry's Funeral Home on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Wayne Caviness officiating.
Burial will follow at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, Virginia.
