Caroline Corpening Corbin

Caroline Corpening Corbin, 65, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir.

Mrs. Corbin was born in Caldwell County to the late Luther Corpening Sr., and Bessie Annie Mae Hood. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Luther Corpening , Jr., one sister Julia Ann Corpening, one sister in law Loretta Corpening and one brother in law, Lonnie Lipford.

Mrs. Corbin is retired from Lenoir Furniture after 36 years. She is of the Holiness Faith.

Mrs. Corbin is survived by step son, Kenny Vanderburg of Baltimore MD, five brothers; Paul Corpening of Lenoir, Larry Corpening and wife Paula of Morganton, Mark Corpening of Lenoir, Steve Corpening and wife Tammy of Conover, Kelly Corpening of Lenoir, three sisters; Hazel C. Horton and husband Fonze of Lenoir, Cypress Gail Lipford of Lenoir, Debra Jean Corpening of Lenoir and one brother in law Glen Colbert of Lenoir. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Corbin will be held Monday, May, 13, 2013 at 3:00 PM Pendry’s Chapel with Pastor Robert Hayes, Pastor Billy Joe Lipford, Reverend Jerris Parsons and Evangelist Betty Lipford officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family of Mrs. Corbin will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Pendry’s Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Lipford, Fred Corpening, Mark Corpening, Terrance Baker, Elmer Johnson and Tony Wallace.
