Cathie Helton, age 71, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Cathie was born October 14, 1953 in Caldwell County to the late Jesse and Beatrice Sanders.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Watson, a brother, JR Sanders.
Cathie was a loving and dedicated mother, always putting her family first and caring for others.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Johnny Yates of Lenoir, a daughter, Beverly Ward of Lenoir, sisters, Nancy Crump of Boone, Nettie Chester, Peggy Bryant and a special brother-in-law, Spencer Watson, a special son at heart, Greg Mason of Lenoir.
In keeping with her wishes, no public services will be held.
