Clarence Edward Greene Sr.

Mr. Clarence "Pops" Edward Greene Sr., 79, of Granite Falls passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Amorem, formerly Caldwell Hospice. Mr. Greene was born on October 18, 1942 in Wilkes County to the late Stella Greene Benge.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Warren Benge, a sister, Cathy Miller and a brother, Harley Greene.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Judy Level Eggers Greene of the home, two sons, Eddie Greene and wife Linda of Granite Falls, Bobby Gwen Greene and wife Tina of Old Fort, a sister, Virginia (Shirley) Wagoner of Hudson, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held to honor Mr. Greene on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 2:30 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with Rev. Bradley Crump officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Brown, Anthony Brown, Jason Church, Jesse Helton, Richard Bell and Clarence Wagoner.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
