Clifton Harmon

Mr. Clifton Harmon, 77, of Lenoir entered into his Heavenly home on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Amorem, formerly Caldwell Hospice. Mr. Harmon was born October 1, 1944 in Avery County to the late Jacob Marcus and Pearl Brown Harmon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ella Mae Earp Harmon, brothers Luther, Roy, Ron, Rob,Frank, Willard and John Harmon and sister, Mae Townsend, Lora Presnell and Carrie Most.

Clifton was always a person who would talk to anyone and everyone around him. He would be the first person to find someone who may feel out of place and jump in to make them feel included. He always found a way to share his love of Jesus with those around him. He will be remembered as a man who would give to anyone in need, even if it was all he had. He loved baking, brownies, chocolate cake and coconut cake were always on hand to give to others as gifts. He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Kimberly H. Price and husband Dean of Lenoir. Karen H. Hamby and husband Jim of Sawmills, grandchildren, Brittiney Price, Whitney Gillen and husband Brent, Haley Price, great -grandchildren, Terry Campbell, Kadyn Campell and Stephen Campbell, brothers, Ira Harmon and wife Frances of Lenoir, Clyde Harmon and wife Virginia of Lenoir, brother, Lewis Harmon of Boone, sisters, Mary Presnell of Boone and Pansy Blevins of Boone.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Funeral Home with Elder Wait, Rev. Dwight Price and Rev. David Day officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir. Military honors will be provided by the NC National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Wood, Dennis Pritchard, Brent Gillen, Terry Campbell, TiShawn Daniels and Jeron Dula.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home.
